Current and future technologies in automotive electronics

The share of electronics and software in the automotive value chain has been growing rapidly for years. Major trends such as powertrain electrification, active safety, autonomous driving, connectivity, infotainment, software as a product, etc. are being driven by electronics. The Automotive Forum offers practical insights into the latest developments.

The topics of the Automotive Forum are based on the thematic blocks of the preceding electronica Automotive Conference, which will take place on November 11, 2024. In the Forum, they will be presented at a much more technical level in panel discussions and lectures.

Focus topics 2024:

  • Electrification in all vehicle classes is progressing worldwide at different speeds and with different technological focuses. From hydrogen to fuel cells, from hybrid drives to pure battery electric vehicles.
  • Legal requirements for intelligent interior sensors and accident avoidance systems inside and outside the vehicle are driving technology growth.
  • New (SW-based) EE architectures are increasingly gaining acceptance: IT is changing the automotive business
  • Interior and exterior lighting will continue to be an increasingly important differentiator in all vehicle classes.
  • Future challenges for the supply chain along the vehicle lifecycle in terms of CO2 neutrality, sustainability, recycling, etc.

Who is the audience for the forum?

The forum is designed for professionals and executives in the automotive and transportation industry: sales engineers, developers, system designers, project managers, supply chain managers, and anyone involved in automotive development projects.
