Lecture electronica Conferences > electronica Automotive Conference > Technology Trends for E-Drives
15:20-15:50 h | Virtual
Today’s technology change to e-Mobility is without any alternative. We will soon see a huge variety of electric vehicles on the road. Most of them will be BEV or PHEV but also FCEV variants are currently entering the market.
Most discussions about e-Mobility are focused around the battery and the corresponding vehicle range. One could say that the battery is the heart of an electric vehicle.
Applying the same logic to a vehicle with a combustion engine would have been: The Heart of a vehicle is the fuel tank.
Whether BEV, PHEV or FCEV all those vehicles have in common that they are driven by an electric motor, which is controlled by an Inverter to convert DC to AC and control the complete driving behavior and efficiency.
Challenges and Solutions in the development of E-Drives will be outlined to prove that the Heart of all electric vehicles is the Powertrain.
