Lecture description

Software-defined vehicles demand compute platforms that can evolve over time, supporting new AI models, sensors, and features long after SOP. However, scaling compute by moving to ever-larger monolithic SoCs presents challenges in cost, yield, and lifecycle flexibility. This track examines how chiplet-based compute scaling aligns with SDV principles by enabling modular growth of processing capability while preserving a common software platform. The session addresses how chiplets impact software portability, workload orchestration across heterogeneous compute resources, and long-term platform sustainability in automotive programs.
