In 2004 the Wireless Congress: Systems & Applications started in parallel to electronica. Today the Congress is one of the major meeting places for the wireless community, providing the well-established platform for wireless professionals.
The technical journal Elektronik, the Messe München, organizers of the electronica trade fair and the Electro and Digital Industry Association (ZVEI), hosted the 21st Wireless Congress: Systems & Applications November 13–14, 2024 in Munich, Germany.
5G/6G, Open RAN, Wi-Fi 7, DECT NR+, UWB and Matter are just a few examples of the continuous progress in wireless technology. The new developments promise, among other things, higher data rates, shorter latency times and the management of networks with millions of end nodes. They will not only replace their predecessors, but also open up new markets for new applications.
Wireless Congress 2024 focused on the latest developments and practical application of advanced wireless systems in the industry: 5G/5.xG/6G, Nonterrestrial Networks (NTN), Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, DECT NR+, Matter, TSN for wireless networks, resilient networks, wireless sensor technology, information-centric networks, software-defined networks (SDN), next-generation LPWAN and much more, as well as the use of AI in communication networks.
