Modern Defense Needs Hardware: Does Europe Have Enough PCB Capacity?

Europe is rapidly increasing its defense capabilities, while modern defense systems are becoming increasingly electronics-intensive. Drones, counter-drone systems, radar, communications and autonomous platforms all depend on PCBs. But does Europe have enough PCB manufacturing capacity to support this growth? This presentation will look at the gap between growing defense electronics demand and Europe’s reduced PCB manufacturing base, why security of supply and early supplier qualification matter, and what rebuilding advanced PCB manufacturing capacity in Europe requires.
