Vortragsbeschreibung
Keys are disappearing. Phones and wearables are taking their place, while Matter and Aliro are creating the foundation for smart locks that can work securely across ecosystems. The opportunity is compelling, but for engineers the challenge is integrating connectivity, secure ranging, low power, cost and interoperability into one practical design. This session shows how to turn that challenge into a product architecture. Using the Infineon Smart Lock Reference Kit, we’ll explore a complete approach combining Matter over Thread, Bluetooth LE and UWB for low-power, Aliro-ready hands-free access. Rather than stopping at protocol theory, we’ll focus on the engineering decisions and implementation challenges behind a real smart-lock design, and how reference hardware and software can reduce development friction and accelerate time-to-market. We’ll also explore a low-cost scrambled capacitive-touch keypad that adds another dimension to secure, flexible access.
