Vortragsbeschreibung
As embedded systems grow more complex, developers are increasingly asked to add flexibility, parallel processing, and customization - without increasing cost, power consumption, or design time. Traditionally, these demands have pushed teams toward either highly specialized analog designs or full FPGA solutions, each with its own complexity barriers. In this talk, Dima Mymrikov - Sr Director of Product Marketing at Renesas, presents Renesas’ unified vision for simplifying embedded logic design by combining two complementary programmable technologies: GreenPAK programmable mixed‑signal devices and ForgeFPGA low‑density FPGAs. Together, they represent a new design continuum that allows engineers to place just the right amount of programmable logic exactly where it is needed—without overengineering the solution. The presentation shows how the GreenPAK philosophy of low power, low cost, and intuitive configuration has been extended into the FPGA domain with ForgeFPGA, delivering a significantly more accessible FPGA experience. Attendees will see how modern development tools and simplified workflows reduce the learning curve, enable faster iteration, and allow a broader range of engineers - not just FPGA specialists - to confidently use programmable logic. Delivered in a concise, TED‑style format (15–20 minutes), this session focuses on how rethinking software, tooling, and usability can fundamentally change the way developers approach both mixed‑signal and digital logic design—unlocking the full potential of programmable devices in cost‑ and power‑sensitive embedded applications.
