Vortragsbeschreibung
Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs) are transforming automotive electronics through centralized computing, zonal architectures, service-oriented communication, and continuous software deployment. While much of the industry focus is placed on high-performance computing platforms, a fundamental transformation is also taking place at the edge of the vehicle network. For decades, sensors, actuators, lighting modules, audio systems, and body electronics have relied on dedicated microcontrollers to provide local intelligence and protocol management. As vehicle software complexity continues to increase, this distributed MCU-centric approach creates growing challenges in software maintenance, cybersecurity management, validation effort, over-the-air update strategies, and total system cost.
