Dr. Fabian Hohmann is a Lead Development Engineer at onsemi Germany, specializing in advanced power module technologies, packaging, and semiconductor integration. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bayreuth, where his doctoral research focused on efficiency optimization in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission. His career spans extensive leadership and R&D roles across the power electronics sector—including leading development teams, driving Silicon Carbide (SiC) lifetime and loss modeling, and developing high-efficiency traction inverters for Formula E. Today at onsemi, he combines his expertise in advanced semiconductor packaging and high-voltage Intermediate Bus Converter (HV IBC) development to enable next-generation power electronic systems.
