Student Day and High School Student Day

Europe and Germany in particular stand for quality and innovation. To make sure it stays that way, it is important for the electronics sector to recruit and train a sufficient number of future employees. Ongoing technical progress and the long-term risks of demographic change are driving demand for electronics professionals higher and higher.

Europe and Germany in particular stand for quality and innovation. To make sure it stays that way, it is important for the electronics sector to attract and train young people. Ongoing technological development and the long-term risks associated with demographic change are driving up demand for electronics professionals.
electronica held High School Student Day in conjunction with the ZVEI on Friday November 11, 2016. It specifically addressed high-school students and was supposed to get them interested in careers in the electronics industry.
Students in grades 10 through 12 at engineering- and technology-oriented secondary schools and vocational schools in the greater Munich area were invited to attend. Round 150 high-school students from Bavaria took part in 2016.
Short presentations, reports from educational practice and insights at the exhibition stands were used to make a career in engineering as transparent and attractive as possible for the young people. Afterward, all of the students had the chance to explore the trade fair on their own.
