Kai Mielenhausen, Senior Manager Fairs and Events, Samsung Semiconductor Europe, Germany
“In 2018 Samsung Semiconductor’s expectations were exceeded once again. We definitely find the right expert audience at electronica. We felt that the Automotive Hall was the right environment for us, which was confirmed by the large number of visitors to our booth. We are already looking forward to exhibiting our products at electronica 2020.”
Sebastian Schmidt, Public Communication Representative, Planning and Administration Department, Asahi Kasei Europe, Germany
“electronica 2018 offered Asahi Kasei the perfect stage as a supplier of electronic components for sensor and audio solutions in the new “Automotive” Hall. We could present our broad product portfolio to both engineers and top-management decision-makers from the automotive industry.
We have already made definite plans for our participation at the next electronica in 2020.”
Mathias Kalmbach, Head of Marketing, Würth Elektronik eiSos, Germany
“As a company working in an international setting, we have relied on our exposure at electronica for almost two decades. It is and will remain the world’s leading trade fair for components for us: the place where the industry meets and a source of innovation. We are particularly pleased with the professional cooperation with Messe München and the way in which the concept is continuously developed further: the electronica experience, which focused on the topic of young experts and managers, was the latest highlight. We look forward to the industry meeting again in 2020.”
Kurt Sievers, President NXP Semiconductors & Executive Vice President and General Manager NXP Germany
"With IoT, Industry 4.0, autonomous driving, edge computing and AI/ML, electronica 2018 was a very important international forum for NXP. One of my personal highlights was the electronica experience – a brandnew format in which innovations in electronics become a live experience for tech fans, from autonomous drones to electro racers."
Torsten Janwlecke, President of the Business Area Device Connectors, PHOENIX CONTACT, Germany
"What makes electronica so special for me is that it is related to the industry and applications. At the moment, there are many trends competing for public perception. But the significance of electronics for digitalization, for networking with the internet of things and for new transmission standards, such as Single Pair Ethernet or SG, is rarely discussed in detail. This does happen at electronica. Users and decision-makers meet experts from industry and commerce. This makes challenges and technical solutions come alive. The automation scene will change. I am convinced: if you don’t network, you will lose. Therefore, for Phoenix Contact the trade fair remains one of the most important venues for turning trends into concrete future technologies.”
Florian Kaindl, Head of Marketing Communications, DATA MODUL, Germany
“For us as a producer and distributor of display and system solutions, electronica offers the ideal platform for our international business model. As in previous years, our participation in this important leading trade fair has turned out to be particularly valuable. We look back at numerous conversations and lively discussions with existing and new customers as well as interested visitors from all over the world. We have long decided to participate in electronica 2020 again!”
Gustav Erl, Managing Director, TDK-Lambda Germany
What was your personal trade fair highlight?
"I liked the trade fair concept of Messe München in general, and of course the new design of our booth very much. It was great fun to be able to welcome customers and other interested guests at our TDK-Lambda booth. I am particularly impressed to see how electronica always creates an atmosphere which makes you feel like coming home."
How satisfied are you with the way the trade fair went? Were you able to reach your goals?
"We are very happy with electronica 2018, we had the opportunity to welcome many interested guests at our booth, to start interesting projects and to present our new products."
What do you see as the distinguishing features of electronica? What is its significance in your marketing mix?
"For us, TDK-Lambda, electronica is the most important trade fair. We are proud to welcome our customers and our international guests at our booth, and to make them share our enthusiasm, with which we live power supplies. Apart from that, we are very pleased to see guests who are not among our customer base yet, and to inspire them with our power supply solutions."
How do you see the international aspect of electronica? Which countries did your visitors come from?
"electronica is committed to an international outlook. The major portion of our visitors are from Europe, but we also have numerous guests from North and South America and Asia."
What did you see as the most important topics of electronica 2018?
"For us, it was very important to present our new booth concept with our product highlights, such as Genesys Plus, GSE600 and many others. Discussing projects and approaches and sharing the “spirit” of TDK-Lambda with our customers and guests who are not our customers yet, is one of the most essential reasons for us to be at electronica."
Will you be back in 2020?
"We have been coming to electronica every single time for more than 40 years and, of course, also look forward to being back in 2020."
