Active Haptics in different HMIs is a visible trend. For the implementation of active haptic feedback, we always need to consider the complete application. GREWUS, as Haptic Solution Provider, knows about the disciplines and challenges of integration. The whole mechanic, sensing of the surface, driving of the actuator(s), acoustic, and, of course, the haptic actuator itself. We will explain the key technologies and components of a haptic system. The “Haptic Interaction Cycle” can be used to visualize the integration process, at least simplified for standard haptic applications. Furthermore, several parameters are relevant for the quantification of active haptics.
