If someone infects thousands or millions of your IoT systems, what can you do? Traditional cybersecurity focuses on protection (keeping the bad guys out) but cyber resiliency recognizes that we can never build perfectly secure systems. Every system has vulnerabilities and the bad guys will eventually find them. Thus, we must find ways to build IoT systems that can detect infection and heal themselves. This self-healing technology is called cyber resiliency. In this talk, we’ll explain how to implement cyber resiliency in embedded systems with low overhead and cost.
