Description
Copying and distributing Open Source software (OSS) requires complying with license obligations. The diversity of OSS licenses confronts companies with the challenge of determining how the various obligations are best fulfilled to achieve compliance. To help with this task, the OSADL Open Source License Obligations Checklists project has standardized the obligations of more than 100 of the most frequently used OSS licenses, including evaluating their compatibility with each other. This presentation explains the standardization of license obligations, exemplifies use of the checklists, and shows how they can be integrated into a company’s QA process.
