Description

"Software-Defined Vehicle" (SDV) is one of the hottest topics in Automotive. Main characteristic of a SDV is a new centralized and zonal in-vehicle electric and electronic architecture with powerful high performance compute units which provide new compute, data & AI capabilities. This presentation will introduce the concept of containerized software on Linux, their benefits as well as the related challenges specifically for deployment and management in SDVs and Road-Side Units. Secondly we present and discuss approaches how these challenges can be addressed. Finally we cover the Linux Foundation's Edge project Open Horizon as one option on how to tackle the requirements mentioned above.
